A Creative Session With Yelena Pogrebizhskaya
Summertime is no cause for us to cease talking about what is important to us. On the contrary, it is a reason to meet up, to discuss, and to act! Our remarkable partner, the journalist and documentary film director Yelena Pogrebizhskaya, extends an invitation to a creative meeting on the Museum’s mezzanine level.
The meeting will take place on the 31st July at 19:00. It will involve two hours of lively discussion with a question and answer format. Yelena will discuss her profession, sharing interesting facts and backstage anecdotes, and revealing the secrets behind many tricks of the trade. In sum, the door will be opened into the kitchen of creativity.
Also:
Yelena will talk about what happened after the release of the film “Mama, I’m Going to Kill You” and on what television channels it can be seen. As a reminder, we watched this film at our “Cinema Club With Yelena Pogrebizhskaya” event, which is held monthly at the Tolerance Centre.
She will discuss the filters we use to process the world around us, using the examples presented by the film “The Boys From Freedom Street.”
Discussion of other films will follow, as well as of various artistic plans that have yet to be realised.
Yelena is an incredibly fascinating and deep person. It is sufficiently simply to be in her presence to feel that you personally are capable of changing something for the better in this world. And so, even if you haven’t seen any of her films, do come along! But ideally it would be an excellent idea to see something in advance, as is possible, for example, here: http://www.partizanets.com/types/video/
All wishing to attend the evening should email marina@partizanets.com to receive a reply detailing the conditions for participation.
See you there!
