Academic Council
The Academic Council of the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center is called upon to assist the administration and staff in formulating a strategy, as well as in solving practical problems of the museum’s development.
The functions of the council are advisory. The most important issues to be discussed: the development of a permanent exhibition, the organization of temporary exhibitions, the implementation of scientific work, the implementation of educational activities. The council includes famous scientists, directors of the most important archives, museums and libraries, exhibition organizers, and computer technology specialists. The composition of the council allows for establishing connections between the museum and related institutions, organizing joint exhibitions and conferences. The international relations of the museum are strengthened by the presence on the council of prominent scientists from Europe, the USA and Israel, whose activities are related to museum affairs. General meetings of the academic council are held once a year, but throughout this period, council members form expert groups or help the museum individually.
