One of the key objectives of the museum is the preservation of Jewish heritage and the popularization of Jewish history. The collection of the Jewish Museum includes objects related to the history of Russian Jewry in various periods. The funds continue to grow thanks to donations from individuals. Some of the items are on permanent display, but the majority are kept in storage.

The permanent exhibition is regularly updated and expanded, giving visitors the opportunity to get acquainted with new interesting exhibits and their history:< /p>

  • Judaica. Religious objects and synagogue utensils of the 19th - early 20th centuries
  • Arts and crafts (CAA). Unique handmade items, home decor, camp art, etc.
  • Household items. Soviet and pre-revolutionary household items, equipment.
  • Painting. The collection mainly consists of works by iconic Jewish artists: M. Axelrod, T. Lachman, M. Katz, I. Pan, L. Pasternak, S. Faibisovich and others. The basis of the collection of paintings is portraits of Jewish figures, writers and artists, landscapes of towns.
  • Graphics. The basis of the collection is the works of M. Axelrod. The collection also includes works by M. Gorshman, A. Kaplan, S. Yudovin and others.
  • Documents and photographs. Archival materials (letters, manuscripts, departmental documents, archives of Jewish organizations) and photographs from family archives of the late 19th-20th centuries. Letters and diaries of the interwar period and the period of the Great Patriotic War
  • Printed materials. Posters, posters, postcards of the 20th century in Russian, Hebrew and Yiddish. Propaganda materials of Jewish organizations of the 1920s
  • Media library. Collection of electronic documents on the history of Jewish communities in Russia.
